Wild Curl lists local events and interesting things to see and do. The Lynton and Lynmouth (LLAMA) Music Festival happens in June, this year the 12th, 13th and 14th, it is free and is a fantastic weekend of music of many varieties. The venues over the weekend are also varied from music on the foreshore in Lynmouth to more intimate concerts in the Church in Lynton. The BIG Sheep - North Devon's premier all weather attraction Situated on the North Devon coast just off the A39 Atlantic Highway two miles west of Bideford, The Big Sheep is a superb family attraction. Offering all weather attractions for all ages, it'll be the best day of your holiday baa none! The Lynton to Barnstaple Steam Railway The line was closed in 1935 - and is now being rebuilt. A one mile section has now been reopened allowing visitors to travel by train along the original ‘L&B Railway’ route above the Heddon Valley near Parracombe in South West England’s Exmoor National Park. As well as a regular train service throughout the summer, there are special events listed on the web site Lynton Cinema Lynton cinema is charming, cosy and comfortable. Added to which it has all the latest films with a weekly changing programme. it is equiped with the latest sound and projection equipment, including a loop for those with hearing difficulties, but still somehow manages to preserve an old age charm. Well worth a visit. Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway This has got to be the best and most exciting way to travel between the two villages. The Victorian water powered railway with its 862 feet of track connects the two communities and gives fantastic views from the carriage as you travel up and down the cliff.
